February update:
Our School Council are responsible for mental wellbeing events and activities in school including Mental Health Awareness Day, Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week and National Schools Breakfast Week. They organise assemblies with Place2be and activities planned around each year’s theme.
Each year they also take on a project to develop the school. Over the last few years, this has included changing a toilet into an outdoor games cupboard, a whole school art installation and raising money for the school garden. This year we hope to complete the garden improvements, improve the main hallway by decorating the ceiling and install an outdoor reading area.
The school council raise money for these projects by doing a series of events such as selling programmes at the winter show, organising Christmas craft activities and sponsored activities.
